Read only if you want your mind STRETCHED

I work with many different types of people, though the majority of them are established entrepreneurs. And entrepreneurs, categorically, are dedicated and driven individuals. They are goal and growth oriented.
And on those occasions when life offers up a hurdle (as it inevitably does for all of us eventually) their mind’s focus is on how to get over it as quickly as possible.
Whilst I applaud them for their tenacity and resilience, they are often so focused on “overcoming” this challenge (be it illness, divorce, resignation of a key employee, etc.) that they miss the opportunity to appreciate it.
They forget that it’s THESE MOMENTS of having their mind stretched that have cultivated their current skills. THESE MOMENTS that build strength and character. THESE MOMENTS are the gifts and the blessings.
So the magic is not just what awaits on the other side. Of course there will be gloriousness on the other end. When we move through a rough patch into smooth sailing, it is a wonderful feeling.
What I’m talking about is taking that wonderful, grateful, FULLY SATISFIED feeling of all-is-well-in-the-world (have you felt that before? If not, I cannot suggest Your Success Code to you strongly enough! It will rock your world) into those moments of stretch. So you can feel great in and through those tough times. And see it all as part of one grand adventure.
My invitation to you this week is: when you feel scared, sad, stressed, and overwhelmed with it all…
Breath deeply into the tension that’s there and deliberately put a smile on your face. Remind yourself: strength is built in moments like this. Right here, right now, I am becoming stronger than ever before. And relaxing into that knowing.
You don’t need to wait for some big drama, just give it a go next time you feel tense in any way. Practice this repeatedly and you’ll be amazed at what begins to emerge for you.
You might even end up like me, someone who celebrates the “catastrophes” because I know they are just gifts in disguise.
